A 500-piece jigsaw celebrating Frida Kahlo's Self-Portrait dedicated to Dr Eloesser.
Frida Kahlo lived in San Francisco from 1930–31, and here she was treated by the pioneering doctor Leo Eloesser for her chronic medical problems resulting from a serious bus accident as a young woman. They became lifelong friends and to her dear ‘doctorcito’, she dedicated this portrait.
The artwork holds a striking story – Kahlo’s pain from her health issues, the importance of religious and cultural symbolism to her, and her love for her friend.
