Kārlis Jansons
b> Tēlnieks Kārlis Jansons (1896–1986) ir vitālu, temperamenta uzspriegotu tēlu autors, kurš darbojies galvenokārt monumentālās un memoriālās skulptūras jomā, radot virkni nozīmīgu pieminekļu vairākās Latvijas pilsētās. Varas maiņu gaitā tie daudzkārt cietuši un iznīcināti, taču izcilākie no tiem – kā Jelgavas atbrīvotājiem veltītais piemineklis “Lāčplēsis un Melnais bruņinieks” (1932) un Latgales Māras monuments Rēzeknē (1939) –, pateicoties viņa dēla, tēlnieka Andreja Jansona, pūlēm, atjaunoti.
